Located in a 19th century farmhouse, the Rice House strives to blur the lines between farm and restaurant to create a truly “yard to fork” experience. Chef de Cuisine Evan Babb and team incorporate the freshest local ingredients including farm-grazed beef, locally foraged mushrooms and seasonal garden ingredients produced in our own kitchen gardens into the menus. Chef Babb even spends his time “off” working alongside our purveyors at local farms, ensuring the freshest available ingredients are incorporated into the Rice House menus. The Sun Porch and two small private dining rooms are perfect for guests wishing to entertain friends or colleagues.

Very strange experience. I ordered the watercress salad with salmon and the salad was maybe two tablespoons in size. There were two small pieces (bit size) of watermelon with it. The price was ridiculous in terms of what I received on my plate.

The food was amazing! Definitely way better than the other restaurant at Barnsley. They do automatically add 20% for tip, though. If you don't pay attention, you may end up tipping again and spending 40% on tip.
